Bob is the B & B's secret weapon in keeping Jeremiah Inn clean!
Jeremiah Inn was built in 1995 and is celebrating its 15th Season of serving the best guests in the world! A frequently heard remark is, “This place is so clean”. When you hear the evening news run a story on “health dangers in your hotel room”, these innkeepers cringe and say, “If only they had chosen to stay with us”. Between the vacuum, the cleaning caddy, the paint brush, and a willingness to work hard, the innkeepers do their best to be sure you enjoy staying in the cleanest place in town. If you are interested in reading the reviews we’ve received, you will find that our guests appreciate the effort. Let us know if you see something needing our attention, and we will be happy to respond.

Serious runners will want to plan on serious training before tackling the Mount Lemmon Marathon on October 17, 2010, but what a thrill, what spectacular scenery, and what an accomplishment for those who choose either the 1/2 or full marathon! Jeremiah Inn Bed and Breakfast plans to offer their participating guests transportation to and from the bus loading area and after their soak in the whirlpool, a celebratory breakfast at dinner, since the 4:30am departure for the bus zone will preclude a big breakfast that morning.
Running clubs are encouraged to call soon and book their group of runners into Jeremiah Inn. With four guests rooms (one is a 2-room suite) and eight separate beds, a pool, and beautiful views, the inn is ideal. We are located 1 mile from the start of the course and a great place to stay while training. The road will be open to runners on race day for 10 hours and with the 6000 foot elevation gain it will be an extraordinary race!
The October date insures ideal weather at the base and top. This photo was taken near Summerhaven last October, so fall color will be evident in the aspens.

B-36 at Pima Air and Space Museum
A must see addition to the Pima Air and Space Museum is a B-36J Peacemaker. This incredible plane, the largest bomber ever built, has a 230′ wingspan, with 3 pusher propeller engines and 2 jet engines on each wing. As the last piston engine powered bomber, 383 were built between 1947 and 1954. All were out of service by early 1959 and many of these planes were stored at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, in Tucson, until they were recycled. There are only 4 of these planes left, and Tucson’s Pima Air and Space Museum is fortunate to have one in their collection. We, at Jeremiah Inn, were fortunate to have heard stories about the B-36 from a guest who had been a trainer of pilots for this plane.

Another Bed in the Bed and Breakfast
Innkeeper, Bob Miner, is a man of many talents. Shown is a doll bed he made for granddaughter, Lucy, at Christmas. Constructed of redwood and finished with a warm stain, the bed comfortably sleeps Annabelle the baby doll (mattress, blanket and pillows not shown). It is sturdy enough to act as brother Joshua’s step stool on occasion.

Tucson Attractions Passport Savings
The Tucson Attractions Passport is a treasure you’ll want to own for your extended visit to Tucson and we have them for sale at Jeremiah Inn. In it you will find buy-one-get-one admissions to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Pima Air and Space Museum, and dozens of other area attractions. Innkeepers Beth and Bob Miner usually purchase one each year, because we love to return to our favorite attractions, including Kartchner Caverns. The Passport costs $15. and is good September 15, 2009 to September 15, 2010, and since Kartchner Caverns admission is $18.95/person, you are actually saving money on the first ticket and receiving the second for free! If that sounds like government accounting, I’m sorry! The Tucson Symphony Orchestra offers BOGO savings also, so if you are fortunate enough to be staying at Jeremiah Inn Bed and Breakfast when one of their great winter performances is taking place, you have a great night on the town all set for you.
Ask about the Tucson Attractions Passport when you make your reservation and we can tell you more about what is included in its savings. See you soon!

Laszlo Veres, conductor of the Arizona Symphonic Winds has brought music in the park to delighted Tucsonans for decades. In this photo, Laszlo has yielded the baton to one of his brothers who visited especially for the occasion of honoring Laszlo. Here's the deal, Santa....
Jeremiah Inn’s innkeepers, Beth and Bob, had a chance to whisper their “wish list” into Santa’s ear as he stopped by the Pima Air and Space Museum last weekend. Don’t worry, Santa’s not replacing the reindeer with any aircraft! When we asked Santa about what he could do for Tucson’s economy, he replied, “The elves are buying local”. When we asked if he could offer any help in bringing bed and breakfast guests to Jeremiah Inn in 2010, he said he’d work on that one.
Since Santa’s pretty busy, we thought we’d better take action ourselves. If you buy a gift certificate for someone for their future stay at Jeremiah Inn, and you purchase it from us during December2009 and say you heard about “Santa’s Special”, you will receive 20% off. Unrestricted gift certificates with a one year expiration are $140./nt, but you will only pay $112.00, including tax and breakfast! Call us soon at 1-888-750-3072, or 520-749-3072 in Tucson. We will get the certificate out to you or your loved one by the next day. Or stop by, and we’ll serve you cookies and tea if you pick it up! Merry Christmas!

Spectacular Sunrise Displayed
Bed and Breakfast guests, and we, never tire of the dramatic and colorful sunrises at Jeremiah Inn. Okay, other places get sunrises, too, but we think ours are pretty special. This photo was taken about two weeks ago as Bob went out to take in the morning paper. We had some cloud cover and the rising sun reflecting on the underside of the clouds was breathtaking. The nice thing about winter sunrises is you don’t have to get up as early to catch them! If you decide to have your breakfast at 7:30 or 8:00am, you will probably see one, too.

Mexican Blue Jay
On a recent picnic on Mt. Lemmon, Jeremiah Inn innkeepers, Bob and Beth, captured this photo of a Mexican Blue Jay, waiting on a nearby grill to savor any misplaced picnic items. These fairly large birds are noisy, but friendly to everyone except other birds and little chipmunks who thought they might take part in the lunch we were savoring. A number of Mexican Blue Jays perched overhead in the pine trees found at the milepost 11 Chihuahua Picnic Site. A dropped tortilla chip was quickly crunched. Bed and Breakfast guests can always borrow an ice chest and ice to take their lunch up Mt. Lemmon and meet some of these jays, too.
