<p>Even though the early morning low today was 49 F, our two guests still chose breakfast on the patio.  It is hard to beat those views of the beautiful Catalina Mountains and the activities of the early feeding hummingbirds in the salvia.    We will continue serving al fresco as long as guests request it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jeremiah Inn has the best of guests &#8211; thoughtful, creative, and generous!  A recent guest from Durham, NC enjoys the hobby of crafting objects using Computer Numerically Controlled machines.  Yesterday, the mail brought us a wood crafted topo block of the Catalina Mountains with Jeremiah Inn noted.  Now we can easily point out the topography of Mt. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The innkeepers spent a recent day hiking the Mt. Lemmon Meadow Trail at the 9200&#8242; level.  It was an uncharacteristically cool day and the temperature was 56 F as the day began.  The blanket of wildflowers that greets hikers peeked through the fog.  When temperatures in the valley can reach 100, it&#8217;s refreshing to lose 30 degrees by driving the 26 miles to the summit from the bed and breakfast.  On this day, the picnic and Scrabble game took place at a lower elevation where jackets weren&#8217;t necessary!<a href="http://www.jeremiahinn.com/journal/wp-content/uploads/2012-August-25-Mt.-Lemmon-fog-topo-block-etc.-007.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-333" title="2012 August 25, Mt. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last summer the Monument Fire devoured more than 30,000 acres, including parts of Coronado National Monument, and canyons to the north of it.  A visit to the area on August 9, 2012, just eleven  months after the fire, revealed green hillsides and wildflowers in abundance.  Plenty of evidence of the fire remains, but beauty abounds as well.  You may enjoy hiking in the area again, and the neighborhood restaurant, Ricardo&#8217;s, has risen from its ashes, opening last week to the welcome of its neighbors.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jeremiah Inn is becoming known as the premier bed and breakfast for cyclists (or so they tell us!).  Located a few pedal strokes from the start of the Mt. Lemmon ascent, offering garaged bicycle storage and a place to do simple maintenance on equipment, and serving a breakfast that provides generous fuel for cycling makes our cycling guests happy, and that makes us happy.  It is 26 miles to the top of this well paved road and last week a cyclist report hitting a downhill speed of 46 MPH.  EEEEK!  Check us out.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We learned about TripAdvisor, from a guest several years back.  This popular web site posts reviews of lodgings, attractions, restaurants, and more submitted by guests and patrons.<img class="alignnone" title="Trip Advisor Site" src="http://c1.tacdn.com/img2/x.gif" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> We have since learned to search the reviews ourselves when traveling and have been delighted by the numerous guests who have taken their time and energy to write of their experiences at Jeremiah Inn.  Time and again, when asked, a guest will tell us that they found us on Trip Advisor first.  Reviews have helped us see the Jeremiah Inn through the eyes of those who choose to stay with us, and encourage us even after 16 years of innkeeping!
