Mt. Lemmon’s Fall Colors Glow
It’s hard to believe that only 24 miles from Jeremiah Inn Bed and Breakfast you will find spectacular fall foliage on Mt. Lemmon’s slopes. Yesterday, innkeepers, Beth and Bob Miner, packed a picnic lunch and within a 45 minute drive reached 8000 feet elevation (and went from 80 degrees to 50 degrees!). We enjoyed a one mile loop walk into the richness of Bear Wallow Creek’s canopy of maples and aspens, from the Sunset Trail near milepost 23. On the way to Mt. Lemmon’s Ski Valley, the hillside was glowing with the yellows and golds of aspens. From the depth of the carpet of already fallen leaves, it wouldn’t seem like the trees would have any left on their branches, but not so! Tucson is truly fortunate to have desert beauty and mountain beauty side by side. B & B guests will love the diversity of the region and find fall colors and fragrances refreshing.
