Jeremiah Inn Beautifies Tucson (sort of)

Jeremiah Inn Cleans Up

Forgive us for doing a little “trash talking” today, but yesterday marked the 23rd occasion Jeremiah Inn’s innkeepers have taken to the streets around the inn – Snyder Road and Catalina Highway – and done a clean sweep!  In 1995 we determined to take part in Pima County’s Adopt A Roadway Program and help beautify the neighborhood.  On Thursday, November 20, it was in the upper 70′s and windless when Bob and Beth donned their orange vests (think inmate fashion) and began to fill their bags with whatever appears intentionally or accidentally along side two miles of roadway.  Pima County provides large,  heavy duty bags for the treasure hunt and after about 5 hours work, we had filled eleven of them.  With sore muscles, burrs in our socks, and the satisfaction of a job well done, or done anyway, we treated ourselves to an icy drink.
