Amenities Still Abound at Bed and Breakfasts!
The Wall Street Journal today (January 22, 2009) carried a story titled “Hotels Trim Amenities Amid Recession”, by Sarah Nassauer. The topic concerned cost-trimming measures taken by the major lodging chains.
Sigh.
Savvy travelers know that they will not have to go to the front desk to ask for hand lotion, or an extra towel if they are a guest at Jeremiah Inn Bed and Breakfast. No lengthy lines at check-in, no cut backs on cookies, no limited breakfast options, and no staff layoffs (Bob & I are still on duty full-time!). We still offer free wireless internet, guest laundry, newspaper, complimentary sodas and bottled water, along with concierge services for restaurant reservations, Kartchner Caverns tours, Gaslight Theatre tickets, driving directions, backpack or umbrella loans. We value our guests and want to give our guests value!
