Tucson hosts a great rodeo each year in February, but did you know that the scenic town of Sonoita, AZ hosts their own rodeo? The “best little rodeo in Arizona” began in 1914 and features over 700 entries. Held on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5, 6, and 7th at the Santa Cruz Fairgrounds, there will be events like the Wild Horse Race, Ladies Barrel Race, Kids Rodeo and much more. All this fun begins with $10./adult admission. Visit the Santa Cruz Fairground web site for details.
From Jeremiah Inn Bed and Breakfast, you will drive 45 miles south through beautiful grasslands to Sonoita’s cooler 5000 ft. elevation. Breakfast at the inn will fuel you for your day at the rodeo!
