The innkeepers spent a recent day hiking the Mt. Lemmon Meadow Trail at the 9200′ level. It was an uncharacteristically cool day and the temperature was 56 F as the day began. The blanket of wildflowers that greets hikers peeked through the fog. When temperatures in the valley can reach 100, it’s refreshing to lose 30 degrees by driving the 26 miles to the summit from the bed and breakfast. On this day, the picnic and Scrabble game took place at a lower elevation where jackets weren’t necessary!
