ucson is home to the Postal History Foundation, truly a treasure find! Today the Jeremiah Inn innkeepers took time to stop by this museum at 920 North First Ave, just west of the University of Arizona, and they were amazed. The museum contains an historic preserved post office from Naco, AZ, outstanding displays of philatelic interest, an active program to teach children through stamps, and a wonderful library on site. If you collected stamps in your youth (or retirement) you will be interested to explore its displays. As a non-profit organization, the Postal History Foundation can receive your tax deductible donations of stamps, as well. Today there were dozens of volunteers removing and preserving stamps, and we took materials to share with some of our educator friends as the PHF sends its ambassadors into the schools to educate and inform. There is also an active Post Office on site that is full service and has the newest stamps to sell. Makes me want to go pen a letter right now!
